Who this policy covers

This policy explains how Joe Hoene Realty Team, Inc., doing business as Joe Hoene Realty Team, handles information collected through this website. It applies to this site and to the AI chat assistant available on it. It does not apply to other websites you may reach through links on this site.

What our contact forms collect, and why

This site has a few forms, including a general contact form, a home-value request, a new-listing alert sign-up, a new-construction inquiry, and showing requests. Depending on the form, we ask for:

• Your name
• Email address and/or phone number, so we can respond
• Any message or details you choose to add, such as a property address, timeframe, or budget
• Your confirmation that we may contact you about your request

We use this information for one purpose: to respond to your request and help with the transaction you are asking about. We do not use it for unrelated marketing without your separate consent, and we do not sell it.

Where form submissions go

When you submit a form, the information is stored in a database on our own server, not a third-party marketing platform. A copy is also emailed to members of the Joe Hoene Realty Team so that a broker can follow up with you directly.

The AI chat assistant

The chat assistant available on this site runs on hardware owned and operated by Joe Hoene Realty Team. Conversations you have with it are stored as a record in case a request or an answer is ever disputed, not for staff to read routinely. They are kept for 365 days and then deleted automatically. The chat session on your device is identified only by a random code your browser creates; nothing ties a stored conversation to your name unless you separately give us contact details, such as by asking for a callback.

The assistant can be wrong. It is a tool for looking up listings, running rough payment estimates, and passing your request to a broker, not a substitute for professional advice. Nothing it says is legal, lending, or tax advice, and you should not rely on it as such. Please do not type sensitive financial details, such as account numbers or a Social Security number, into the chat.

What your browser stores on its own

Some features work using storage built into your own browser, on your own device. This includes your light or dark theme choice, homes you have saved as favorites, and the current chat session. None of this is sent to us or to anyone else; it stays on your device until you clear it. You can remove it at any time by clearing your browser's site data for this site.

Location and tracking

This site does not track your movements, fingerprint your device, or collect your device location in the background. A map or listing-search feature may offer a voluntary “near me” button. Your browser asks before sharing a location; if you allow it, that information is used in the browser to sort or orient the map and is not stored by us. Address-based map, weather, and flood-reference tools use the property address you select, not your device location. The footer visitor total counts unique visitors with a one-way, locally stored HMAC digest of the network address; the raw address is not saved or displayed.

Analytics

If you accept optional analytics, we count page views, chat openings, calculator use and form submissions by page and day. We also record, by day, which outside site a visit arrived from — the site name only, such as a search engine or a social network, never the address of the page you came from and never anything you typed to get here. These aggregate records contain no visitor identifier, network address, search terms, form answers or chat messages. The owner uses them to improve pages and prepare advertising drafts. Your choice is stored in this browser. Lead and chat records you submit are handled separately as described above.

We do not sell your information

Joe Hoene Realty Team does not sell personal information collected through this site to third parties.

Requesting deletion of a submission

If you would like a form submission (a lead, a callback request, a review request) removed from our records, call (812) 523-3914 or use the contact form and let us know what to remove. We can find these because they carry the name, email, or phone number you gave us, and we will confirm once it has been deleted.

Raw chat transcripts are different: they are identified only by a random code generated in your browser, not by your name or contact details, so we have no way to pick your conversation out of others on request. They are not kept indefinitely -- see "The AI chat assistant" above for how long and why.

Listing accuracy

Listing information on this site, including price, status, and availability, is deemed reliable but is not guaranteed and can change without notice. Always confirm current details with a member of our team before making a decision.

Content on this site, including listing descriptions and photos, belongs to Joe Hoene Realty Team or its licensors and should not be copied for commercial use without permission.
